• A Power Fist to wear as a lucky protective, powerful charm. Inspired by the many fists from the material cultures of many minority and or oppressed groups of people. Notably the Black Power Movement and a symbol of feminine power, too. It’s a fighting fist in the air.

• Informed by various artefacts and artworks. I carved this from jewellers wax and had it cast into raw golden brass.

• A design from the archive. I made this as part of a series of 7 Hands from History when I was studying for a MArts in History with Innovation.

• There is dark copper visible on the creases of the hand - this is from the hand being heated by a flame. It makes it look more weathered by the ages. ;)
