• A one-off ring featuring one large clear cubic zirconia gem and a cluster of smaller lilac coloured cz’s surrounding it.

• Inspired by romantic Georgian and Victorian jewels studded with hand-cut smoky diamonds.

• I carved this ring from jewellers wax, set these cubic zirconia gems into the model, and then I had it cast into recycled 925 sterling silver using the ancient-rooted production method of lost-wax-casting.

• The 13 gems are cast-in-place and therefore they cannot be guaranteed to stay in place forever - although their settings look pretty strong and sturdy. If a gem does escape it cannot be re-set and it should be embraced as an evolving relic of a ring.

• Cubic zirconia is the stabilised cubic form of zirconium oxide and it is a synthetic (man-made) material. They are a very hard material.

• Please note that the back of large central gem does protrude a little but it has metal over it so it isn’t sharp. If this is too small for you this may a little be uncomfortable against your finger.
